The character of the boy is based upon Sheila’s nephew Nigel and the cat is based upon her own cat Whitey.

Filmed in a slaughterhouse in South St. Paul, MN… Frampton utilizes a shooting strategy that flattens and pictorializes a palpable space of action that includes not only cattle (now seen hanging from huge meathooks), but even on occasion, figures.

I took this photo in Uraga. I was carrying a tripod with an 8mm camera on it, so it was a selfie from behind. The tripod is always in the frame, so it has a strong presence. The film was then projected and each frame was re-shot at different zoom ratios, allowing viewers to alternate between looking at the entire screen and the center, frame by frame. In the second half, I re-photographed the screen so that the tilted landscape on the screen was returned to a horizontal position, expressing the idea that the landscape is stationary and it is the viewfinder that moves.

Recovering all of the intertitles of the Battleship Potemkin, Jean-Marie Buchet substitutes for the images of the film various views that he himself shot and which are unrelated to the initial work, thus joining the technique of diversion widely recommended and applied by the Situationists.

The siblings Wallin, Kalle, Gunnar, Mia live in their childhood home at Slite on Gotland. They are in their eighties. Kalle has been a sailor and fisherman. Gunnar has worked in a cement factory, while Mia has taken care of the house.

Possibly the most lucid, vivid, and awesome demonstration of the building up of still images to create moving ones, Pasadena Freeway Stills simply, gracefully and powerfully shows us the process by which we are fooled by the movies. By doing so, Gary Beydler mines a very rich vein of associations and metaphor, without the slightest ostentation. Constructed as a thrilling arc of realization and, in a quite moving way, disappointment, the film is a beautiful articulation of our emotional entanglement with moving images, while simultaneously creating a form in which the illusion of cinema is brought into incredible relief as the film we're watching gradually catches up to the film Gary is holding up to the camera with his hands, one frame at a time. Four months into their marriage, husband and wife aren't really live as a loving couple, now she's filing for legal separation.

Recorded at Ronnie Scott's in London in 1974 and backed by the Tommy Flanagan Quartet, Ella Fitzgerald performs some of her most famous songs, including George Gershwin's The Man I Love.

An ironic flip/flop between voyeur/exhibitionist tendencies, where the subject is the object-they are one and the same person exploring the necessarily cooperative choreography implicit in such a relationship. The tape title, finally, is a misnomer. A tease. It should be called 'I'm an exhibitionist,' however, this is subverted by making the viewer complicit with the 'voyeur' of the title of the tape.

The recording date of this particular concert was October 30th, 1974. The featured bands/artists are Dr. John & The Night Trippers, Professor Longhair, Earl King, and The Meters.
