Artistic experimental documentary short that explores the universe of Brazilian artist Lygia Clark. Sensorial experiences, the perception of the body, forms and tactile sensations are mixed and reflect the human race as part of the cosmos, getting lost to find itself. Art, stripped of its virtuous image, as an action of the common human being, the expression of living things, runs from the mechanical repetition of movements and attitudes.

This is a romantic drama about class and expectations, set on a university campus. Two Pretoria students, Joerie Anker (Snip) and Christina Burger (Rissiepit), are in love – to the chagrin of Christina’s better-off parents. Her mother thinks Joerie is not good enough for her daughter and her father, an influential member of the university hierarchy, threatens to have his grant suspended if he doesn't stop seeing his daughter. Parental pressure forces Christina to sever ties with Joerie and she starts seeing the arrogant Piet Stadler. But their relationship is doomed because of Piet’s intense jealousy of Joerie who, he believes, is still the love of Christina’s life. Piet vents his anger on Joerie and Christina when he bumps them off a bridge one night after the two have been out in Joerie’s jalopy. While Christina comes away with light injuries, Joerie has to fight for his life.

A fratricide war between two tribes in the Congo in the pre-colonial period: the Tsembo and the Tsoundi. Their alliance is guaranteed by the marriage of the son and daughter of the tribes' respective rulers, but the infidelity of the wife, Hakoula, who gives herself to a slave, sparks off a war of terrible bloodshed

Samad and his pregnant wife Dara work hard to save enough for the arrival of their first child. Unbeknownst to the couple, their friend Osman secretly lusts after Dara, burgles their home and steals their savings. Osman spends the money on gambling and drinks leaving his pregnant wife Kula in the lurch. Tragedy befalls the two women as Osman makes his advances towards Dara. Dara is raped by Osman in her home when her husband Samad is away. The sexual assault is witnessed by Kula, Osman’s wife, impelling Osman to commit a double murder of the two women. Dara and Kula – names made to sound like ‘dracula’ when spoken in succession – are both pregnant when they are killed. With supernatural forces at work, Samad struggles to comprehend the changes in his wife’s behaviour and is oblivious to the women’s desire for vengeance.

In the countryside of South Vietnam during the war, a local woman falls in love with a soldier stationed nearby, not knowing he had already married and a confrontation with his wife would soon break off the dalliance. 10 years later, a fateful event brings them all back together to determine once and for all what their future paths would be.

Shot in Florence and the Alps, the film contemplates traditional European labor—ice vaults, bookbinding, cooking—while largely omitting human protagonists. Through textural equivalences between workshop and field, book and forest, stone and mountain, Beavers reflects on the resonance of craft and place.

Aside from a surface language of animal locomotion, the primacy of the frame as a principle of timing acceleration, deceleration and variation is fulfilled in the collective Muybridge, Engel and Deleuze. It depicts a day in a somewhat poor apartment life, where I eat and edit 8mm film. I was criticized for the terrible way I washed rice, but anyway, I edited many shots taken at each step of the movement together to recreate a certain time of day through the movement of my eyes.

Three brothers struggle to survive on the harsh, inexorable and melancholy plains of Slovenia's Prekmurje region. The oldest flees from home in search of a better living, the middle brother survives by refusing to comply with tradition and the youngest, who received his education as a vet in the city simply cannot get used to the slow pace of country life. Will their father live to see the day when respect for the traditional ways will heal the wounds of the impoverished land?

This film shows us around a factory in the seventies in Hungary. In the outskirts factory of Kőbánya workers celebrate the foundation members and want to present the oldest member, Uncle Benda, now a pensioner, with a golden ring. His grandson, Karcsi Merkovics, an industrial apprentice, is in love with the foreman's daughter.

Contemporaneous to his best-known video works, these Super-8mm films represent Baldessari's conceptual engagement with motion picture film, pointing to the technical strengths and weaknesses of the celluloid medium relative to video, such as the superior reproduction of color, on one hand, and the difficulty of adding synchronized sound on the other. Conceived on an intimate scale (only the artist's hands are visible as he manipulates a range of objects), Baldessari's Super-8 films replace text and speech with a cunning visual language, in which he wordlessly describes physical changes in his environment: a bright light flashes on a mirrored surface, red liquid rises in a thermometer, and powdered pigment makes an indelible mess. Here Baldessari employs a method of communication that is based on spectacle rather than performance.

Television Delivers People is a seminal work in the now well-established critique of popular media as an instrument of social control that asserts itself subtly on the populace through “entertainments,” for the benefit of those in power—the corporations that mantain and profit from the status quo. While canned Muzak plays, a scrolling text denounces the corporate masquerade of commercial television to reveal the structure of profit that greases the wheels of the media industry. Television emerges as little more than a insidious sponsor for the corporate engines of the world. By appropriating the medium he is criticizing—using television, in effect, against itself—Serra employs a characteristic strategy of early, counter-corporate video collectives—a strategy that remains integral to video artists committed to a critical dismantling of the media’s political and ideological stranglehold.

The three anonymous protagonists of the film are each sent to a different type of community a kibbutz, moshav, and moshava, to learn about their special characteristics and the different lifestyles of their residents, and also meet a mysterious girl along the way. In this part, we follow our hero (Hanan Yovel) who was sent to a moshav.

From 'The Workshop of the Film Form'. // In I'm Going Robakowski attempted an iconoclastic representation of the human body. He initiated a situation in which the materiality of film engaged in a dialogue with the materiality of the human body. Over the course of the film, the growing fatigue of the body carrying the film camera can be heard in the artist's voice and increasingly heavy breathing. The effect is that of the artist delving into his own materiality. The subject becomes merely a thing among things, a living fragment of the matter. With their attempt to shift the "film gaze" onto the machine (a non-anthropocentric point of perception of the world), Robakowski's Records most fully illustrate the antivoyeuristic ambitions of structuralist cinema, which aimed to subvert the traditional voyeuristic model.
