In a neighborhood of Athens lives a slightly eccentric kiosk owner, Manolios, who is searching for the man responsible for his father's death. His clientele consists mainly of the residents of the neighboring apartment building. It is a microcosm with its own problems and gossip: the grumpy owner of the apartment building, his son, the scatterbrained concierge, a young student, and a few others. Inevitably, minor conflicts arise among them and various emotions develop, such as Manolis' love for the student, who, however, clearly desires the son of the apartment building's owner.

The Blue Racer is trying to catch Japanese Beetle. He first tries to catch him by hiding inside a hose, however, plan is backfired when Japanese Beetle turns on the faucet. Then he tries to catch him by hopping, but again, plan foiled because he ran across a rolling roller. While chasing the Beetle again, Blue Racer runs into a venus flytrap, which spits the snake out (the flytrap claims that it tasted awful). The Blue Racer decided he needs to fly in the air to catch the bug and sucks a can of helium, and floats in the air. However, when he opens his mouth, he flys off in the air and falls into a bag of genuine fertilizer.

In Fall of 1971, artist Robert Frank came to Rochester, NY to conduct a course on filmmaking at the recently established alternative art school, Visual Studies Workshop. By the time he came to Rochester, Frank had made seven films and was in production on the autobiographical fiction About Me: A Musical while preparing to shoot the controversial Rolling Stones documentary Cocksucker Blues. In need of money to shoot his next film, Frank proposed a non-traditional course to friend Nathan Lyons, suggesting the students work together to make their own movie with Frank acting as more of a collaborator than an instructor. Frank’s approach to working with the group of six students was simple: load up a camera and start shooting the world around you, including yourselves. The resulting 38 minute film is a valuable portrait of a creative collaboration between artists, and a stimulating document of what Frank refers to as ‘the chaos of the present.’
