Bob Branaman, most known for his painting, has been working with an 8mm camera for years, has produced a dozen films or so, which he rather simply and beautifully refuses to name, all involving multiple super-impositions (all created camera-wise) with much flash frame happening (or what he would, if he created them editing-wise, call extremely rapid cutting) and of a natural Baroque-musical tempo and which created for me a whole new sense of film collage. A worker is sitting at a conveyor belt on which light bulbs are coming in at regular intervals. He takes the light bulbs from the conveyor belt and inserts them into a testing device. The light bulbs light up briefly and bathe the scene in glistening light. The worker puts the light bulb back on the conveyor belt, looks directly into the camera and shouts against the noise of the machines: "We create wealth."

In 1970, when this film was made, the SED (Socialist Unity Party of Germany) asserts its claim to leadership grounded in the past – it moves forward on the “Way from the I to the We”.

The film is notable in that it was produced roughly a decade prior to the arrival of the IBM Personal Computer, which revolutionized computing worldwide. "Computers" primarily shows mainframe and office type computers made by IBM, including the System/360 mainframe with its tape drives and hard drives. The System/360 was the first family of computers designed to cover both commercial and scientific applications and to cover a complete range of applications from small to large.

Short experimental film made by Columbia College students David Szabo and Charles Lyman, which won a First Place Hugo award at the Chicago International Film Festival in the undergraduate category. "From a passage in Moby Dick. The small Black cabinboy from the Pequod is castaway in the ocean, and goes mad before he can be rescued. His mind is carried down alive to wonderous depths where the strange shapes of the unwarped primal world glide to and fro before his passive eyes... Man's insanity is Heaven's sense, and Pip becomes as indifferent, uncompromised as his god." - Center Cinema Co-op Filmmakers Distribution Catalog, 1972.
