Following Mr. Kim's trail, Li discovers that he is using women's fighting as a lure to sell hallucinogenic drugs. Li rescues Bixi and her sister, and brings the criminals to justice.

Artist Kyeong-pa is asked by the father of a dead girl to paint a portrait of the man's daughter to put her soul to rest. But whenever the artist tries to paint it, a different woman appears on the canvas. The image always takes the form of a woman whom he loved but has also passed away. The ghost of the man's daughter is not very happy that her painting has not been finished and makes her wrath known.

After his Western triumphs, Valerii stepped out of the shadow of Sergio Leone with this distinctly Bergmanesque sexual melodrama.Dionisio is perfect in the title role and this remains her best film, Valerii turns up along the way too. Just when the film hits a period of auto pilot John Steiner turns up in the final reel for a climax that is quite unforgettable. A bit difficult to trace but well worth the effort.

The play “Zykovs” was written in 1912, during a time of confusion and depression in Russian society, a period of pre-war spiritual and moral decline. The state of the world is depicted here with a single phrase: “there was confusion of concepts”... The film-performance based on the eponymous play by M. Gorky, directed by the Moscow Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin.

Paul Lawrence is a working class man who dates Cara, sells shirts at a Sydney department store, and dreams of attending art school. Cara leaves for London and Paul becomes the protege of designer Marie Rosefield. Through this he enters the 'set', the world of Sydney art society. Rosefield is friends with Mark Broniski, an artist who commissions Paul to design a set for British stage director, John L. Fredericks. Paul is helped by art student Tony Brown, who is dating Paul's cousin, Kim Sylvester. Paul and Tony begin a homosexual affair. Kim's mother Peggy has an affair with Boronoski.

Despite a 6-month lag in their rent payments and Harry's bad relations with his neighbor, their landlady does not evict them because she loves Harry, who spends his hours daydreaming about planting a 100-yard-wide row of marigolds from Los Angeles to New York for the betterment of mankind.

Producer-director Glenn Jordan brought together two Tennessee Williams plays, written twenty years apart, that examine the theme of isolation with searching clarity. The joint presentation, entitled "Dragon Country," features the world premiere of "I Can't Imagine Tomorrow," starring Kim Stanley and William Redfield, and a much earlier work, "Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen," starring Lois Smith and Alan Mixon. Together, the dramas delve into "a land of endured but unendurable pain, where each one is so absorbed, deafened, blinded by his own journey across it, he sees, he looks for, no one else crawling across it with him."

Karl Tellenbach, called "Dällebach Kari", was one of Bern’s legendary characters at the beginning of the 20th century. Born with a strong hare lip which left him disfigured and gave his voice a peculiarl nasal tone, he devoted his entire life trying to get people to laugh with him instead of at him. Ultimately, his despairing at ever becoming accepted as a fellow man coupled with unrequited love made his life tragic, culminating in his suicide at age 54. His jokes are still well known today.

Then things get complicated when a bandit who calls himself Sangram Singh goes on a crime-spree throughout the region.

The events of the film cover the story of the Kotsiubynsky family in the years 1912-1918, ending with the defeat of the Central Rada and the establishment of a Soviet republic in Ukraine in the spring of 1918.
