Now British Railways has swept away the small depots and the conflicting lines, and has centralised its goods operations in a new Freight Terminal, a Diesel Maintenance Depot, and one of the most modern Marshalling Yards in Europe, thus providing freight services fit for Sheffield's needs.

This film by Frank Eidlitz contains close-ups of art and design objects on display, as well as light experiments. Objects that appear on film include details of a religious fresco, Jean Arps’ ‘Lion of the Cyclades: Seated’ (1957), metallic sculptures and glass prisms. Some sections are filmed within the exhibition ‘Light as a Creative Medium’, which was curated by Gyorgy Kepes at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University in 1965, organised in conjunction with MIT. Interspersed throughout are some of Eidlitz’s light experiments, playing with light, colour and movement. The soundtrack is similarly experimental, consisting of fragments of music, radio voices and electronic noise.

A KRON-TV Assignment Four documentary report from 1966, narrated by Art Brown, featuring a look at the work of Reverend Donald E. Stuart (1922-2014) for the San Francisco Council of Churches Night Ministry. Includes scenes of Rev. Stuart: walking on the streets of the Tenderloin neighborhood; speaking with a drunk in a hotel; meeting people at Bunnys Coffee Shop and the Intersection Coffee House and chatting with a prostitute (who turned away a client to speak with him). At one point Stuart states that the church: "Should be available to people whenever they need it." He also reflects that people tend to feel more vulnerable to loneliness and despair at night. Note that Rev. Stuart was Night Minister from 1964-76. This film was written and produced by Bob Anderson, directed by Vern Louden, edited by Marie Looney and shot by John Hines. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

The President had been due to visit twice before, but on both occasions the trip had to be cancelled. The first time was in 1963, the same year as the Commonwealth visit by the President of India. The second cancellation occurred in 1965 when a longstanding dispute between India and Pakistan over the sovereignty of Kashmir boiled over into full-scale war in September of that year. However, as one might expect from a film made for international diplomacy purposes no reference is made to ongoing political problems either at home or abroad. Like the Indian presidential visit of 1963, the film was for screening to domestic audiences (both in the UK and in Pakistan) whose main interest would be in the pomp and ceremony of the visit, and the reception and status afforded to the President by the Queen and royal family.

In Search of Hart Crane, 1966, is one of the very first interview-driven documentaries and is still a masterpiece of the literary documentary film.
