An experimental short film from Finnish director Eino Ruutsalo.

Commissioned by the San Francisco Mime Troupe as a short to be screened during intermission for its rather infamous 1965 Minstrel Show (Civil Rights from the Cracker Barrel), which assaulted racial stereotypes by wildly exaggerating them. Scored by Steve Reich. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in 2007.

Hülya, a singer, and Erol, the son of a wealthy family, are in love. However, Erol's father does not approve of this relationship. With the help of two men he hired, he forces Hülya to give up her career and leave Erol. As a result, Hülya attempts suicide. At the last moment, a man known as "Doctor" saves her. Hülya will start a new life with Doctor.

About four patients in the same hospital room, about different personalities, different worldviews...

In the "Nature & Comp." reserve, animals live in perfect comfort, until their turn comes. A rich hunter buys a license to shoot a lion. Dignified and brave, the lion dies as befits him. A poor hunter buys a license for a rabbit. The rabbit escapes into the wild, but in freedom it experiences so many troubles that it returns again under the auspices of "Nature & Comp.".

Shreeman Funtoosh is having a bad week, to say the least. First, a run-in with a scientist's invention turns him into an iron man. Then, as the scientist tries to cure him, a mishap turns him into a shrinking man. All this, and the only thing Shreeman wants to do is get back to normal so that he can be with his beloved Meena. Kishore Kumar, Kumkum, Anoop Kumar, Jeevankala and S.K. Shyam co-star in this entertaining blend of sci-fi and comedy.

18-year old Norwegian artist Wenche Myhre travels to Rafah in Gaza to open a children's clinic that she financed.

Based on a true story. The protagonist Yu Changshui is a postman of the Goubei Branch in the mountainous area of western Beijing, and the movie follows his various travails in delivering mail, setting up efficient a mail delivery system for his fellow peasants, and working hard to help construct a New China.

In 1943, four Italian Alpini escape back to Italy after their company was decimated in Croatia by Yugoslav partisans. One of the four, Paolo, is seriously wounded and must undergo a leg amputation. The young man, embittered by his mutilation and the end of his soccer career, enlists in the fascist Brigate Nere. Once a member of the Brigate Nere, Paolo turns to evil and captures his former comrades, who must defeat him.

Side Phase Drift is an abstract three-screen performance projection piece. Each frame was composed of sets of images that were manipulated in form, color, superimposition and time. The image sequences are logical permutations of a progressively evolving order. The images were realized on a mechanical analogue computer system called a CAM machine and an Optical Printer at Motion Graphics, Inc. The Optical Printer was modified with controls and accessories to facilitate the color sequencing which was based on complimentary color relationships utilizing a hierarchical system.

This short fiction is adapted from a collection of short stories by Canadian author Hugh Hood. A young father in Montreal buys a red kite for his daughter. This mildly impulsive act leads to encounters with strangers that cause him to entertain existential questions.

BALLADE AUX SOURCES, Med Hondo’s first film, is a documentary about the journey of an African emigrant through his native land shortly after the independence of North Africa. This film allows us to glimpse the themes that are dear to Med Hondo: pan-Africanism and pre-colonial African history. It is presented as “restoration in progress” without sound, introduced by Annabelle Aventurin (cine-archives).

In the mid-1960s, Pilař recorded a short sketch with the family of the writer and lyricist Václav Fischer in the Baroque complex Skalka near the town of Mníšek pod Brdy. He added an overpainting to the film, respecting the actions of the protagonists so that the characters would react to the coloured flying objects. Pilař made the untitled material into a video screener called A Film Sketch 1965 (ca. 1984), and later edited it with video effects under the title Painting into the Air (ca. 1991).

This documentary shows a typical Sunday in Mozambique's capital, tourist main attractions, an inquest in Lisbon about the perception of the people in the street about what life was like in that African colony (or, as the Government had it then, "province"), and then interviews and scenes of Lourenço Marques fishermen and a bar waitresses. African folk music and dance were used as documents and background for the text narration.

Yeats Country is a lyrical film commissioned by the Department of Foreign Affairs to commemorate the centenary of the birth of William Butler Yeats. The first Irish film by cinematographer and director Patrick Carey celebrates the landscape of Yeats’ poetry through stunning photography, narrated by Tom St. John Barry. Evocative images of the west of Ireland illustrate the poet’s life including Thoor Ballylee Castle where he lived, Coole Park, home of Lady Gregory where literary figures of the period socialised, Lissadell House, Knocknarea Mountain, the slopes of Ben Bulben, the waterfall at Glencar and finally Yeats’ grave at Drumcliffe. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short in 1966.
