Dimanche was supposed to be a didactic film, ordered by the film department of the National Education, intended to evoke the problem of leisure. Bernhard diverts the order and outwits the trap of the ‘thematic’ film. Without resorting to any form of commentary, making use of extraordinary images sublimating common spaces (the boredom of Sundays, the changing of the guard, children playing, a runner in the woods, a football match, …), he constructs with a nifty montage an exceptional work dealing with the sense of void and the fossilisation of the world. The original anti-film. In the film, there are scenes of streets of Zagreb taken by author with a hand-held camera turned backwards, having no control over the content of filming. The filmmaker subsequently produced the concrete music. Such “planned coincidence” of filmmaking became a polemic thorn in side of the documentary tradition of Croatian cinema.

The documentary promotes and demonstrates the process of blood donation and even depicts a cesarean section to convince the public of the urgency to donate blood.

In his first film, Peter Nestler gives voice to an old floodgate. A nearby village, its inhabitants, wooden posts and twisted willow rods are presented from this unusual perspective. The floodgate ponders the fisher boats coming home from the sea along the shipping channel which is fed at low tide by a small river.

A short documentary made in 1963 by Jerzy Bossak and Wacław Kaźmierczak featuring unique archival footage of the Jewish Ghetto of Warsaw. The Warsaw Ghetto (pol. “Getto Warszawskie” ) was the largest of all Jewish Ghettos in Nazi-occupied Europe during World War II. From there, about 254,000 Ghetto residents were sent to Treblinka extermination camp during the three months of summer 1942.

As with PASTORALE, extremely innovative for its day and even now. Entire film was an "optical print" to retain light nuances. Has never been placed in competition.

After the triumph of the Revolution, the construction of a new society reshapes the lives of a group of characters, forcing each of them to confront a transformed future. Luis, a young, poor Black man; Fernando, an exiled professor returning to his homeland; Rafael, a labor leader, and his daughter Niurka; and Ricardo, a young bourgeois who fought against the tyranny but now resists the loss of his former social status. Each will be pushed to extreme situations that compel them to redefine themselves in relation to the new meaning the Revolution has given to their lives.

The film is dedicated to the achievements of Georgian winemakers.

“This film features the Vietnamese Army, referred to as "sons" of the famous Trung sisters of Vietnamese history” (US National Archives). "The film draws from Vietnamese mythology to allegorize South Vietnam’s struggle with the North, drawing connections between the Trung sisters’ heroic resistance to the Chinese invasion in 40 CE to the conflict the South faced. Many of its sequences reveal the fingerprints of USIA and the American imaginary of Vietnam, moving between sweeping pastoral shots, montages of military preparedness, and scenes of graphic simulated violence upon people of the South—making the film ultimately prowar. However, the documentary renders a complicated, almost paradoxical visual expression of homeland defense. Instead of framing victory as likely and death as something to avoid, the allusions to familiar mythology cosmically situate the South’s resistance as a tragic duty that spans the long history of their nation" (Vukoder and Gharabaghi).

The film shows the risks associated with different driving speeds and the impact of collisions. It includes demonstrations of controlled impacts, part of experiments conducted by the University of California to study car crashes and improve safety. This includes the use of anthropometric dummies to measure the effects of collisions on passengers. The importance of safety seat belts and shoulder harnesses in preventing injuries is shown, as well as the dangers to unrestrained children in car accidents and the use of lifelike dolls in experiments. The conclusion of the film emphasises the driver's role in ensuring safety by being attentive and careful.

Labyrinth is an opera in one act by composer Gian Carlo Menotti. The work was commissioned for television by the NBC Opera Theatre and uses an English language libretto by the composer. Unlike Menotti's previous television operas, such as Amahl and the Night Visitors, this opera was written with no intention of being moved to live stage performance later. Menotti intended for this work to utilize the special effects unique to television which could not be recreated in live theatre. As a result, NBC's television production of the opera was the only performance the work had received until Ventura College mounted a production in June of 2020, directed by Brent Wilson. After its March 3, 1963 broadcast the opera was mainly criticized by the press for its trite use of allegory and music which rejected the avant-garde in favour of romanticism.
