The lyrical-satirical grotesque ridicules one of the common human traits – a person’s weakness for a bottle and its contents. A man on a walk enjoys the scent and beauty of a rose. On the way, he comes across a huge bottle and the intoxicating taste of its contents leads him to a drinking orgy. When he sobers up, he returns to the harmless and uplifting pleasure of the delicate beauty of the flower.

Cameraman Yonesaku Kobayashi (1905-2005) is a pioneer of scientific films of Japan. He and producer Sozo Okada made many scientific educational films, and in 60's - 70's, many avant-garde composers composed music for these films.

Unencumbered by a professional education and open to new ideas, Vladimir Petek (b. 1940) was energetically exploring in the 1960s what film could do as a medium if used in nonstandard ways. In his early works, the obsession with the medium was connected to his youthful delight with female beauty, and Petek created some of the most striking portrait films in Croatian cinema, which might be seen as the more filmically inventive cousins of the Screen Tests that Andy Warhol started doing in 1964 to explore film’s seemingly innate ability to turn almost anyone into a "star." Encounter offers a portrait of a woman (Ksenija Filipović, his then-girlfriend) whose face becomes mysterious, desirable, and endlessly captivating on film, all the more so because of Petek’s various interventions in the film stock.

Affectionate, experimental short documentary that paints a mosaic of Cuba by focusing on a microcosmic "old neighborhood", where the country's personality slowly emerges through its various dualities: young and old, day and night, sound and silence, Christianity and Santería, civilian life and military presence, poverty and abundance.

Sexologists, psychologists, and proponents of sexual freedom, the Kronhausens here attempt to induce erotic response in the audience by carefully chosen visual stimuli and juxtapositions (aimed at both conscious and unconscious). Phallic symbols and open orifices, a tongue licking an orange, an unexpected finger entering the frame: almost any object or act, no matter how innocuous, the Kronhausens show, can be made to appear erotic, and reveals our predisposition towards ‘shaping’ visual evidence for purposes of erotic gratification.

On arrival at their new country home the Woodleys find it guarded by the former owner's Great Dane, Junia. All attempts to remove her fail until Major Craddock arrives claiming ownership of the dog. The children, together with two others whose own dog has been stolen, make their way to Major Craddock's kennels where they find both dogs and an incriminating newspaper cutting. He asks Turgut to find the person who wrote the letters and protect his daughter Sumru. While trying to protect Sumru, Turgut will fall in love with her.

In 1963 German filmmaker Dietrich Wawzyn set out to shoot a series of films for German television that took him through the southern US in search of American jazz and roots music. He contacted Arhoolie Records founder Chris Strachwitz, who jumped at the chance to join him and share his enthusiasm for regional musical traditions. Wawzyn made three films dealing with blues, gospel, and hillbilly music. The negatives to those films were lost. This film recreates the journey from the best elements still available and includes much previously unreleased footage.
