Cinematic Era: 1961 Vintage

A documentary showing several aspects of the author's view of life in Skopje.

A wealthy man has a child with a village girl. The wealthy man, without letting his son into his family, watches him from afar. Years later, his legitimate son goes from the city to the village where his brother lives. The village young man loves a girl who soon also becomes the object of affection for his city brother. After a series of events, when the two brothers learn of their kinship, they forgo conflict with each other, and the village brother finally ends up with the girl he loves.

When a little boy is in love with a little girl, what better gift can he give her than a bird made of newspaper? But a cat will spoil the party and the bird will wander across the rooftops of the city. After many adventures, however, it will be found and will lead the child to the little girl.

A farmer aspires to marry the daughter of the local aristocrats, but she think he's beneath her. It take a long time for things to settle into a groove so life can run smoothly again for all concerned.

Produced to introduce the functions and design properties of the Eames Contract Storage units. This innovative use of live-action and animation accompanies an Eames script which includes the famous Eames quote “The details are not details, they made the architecture – the gauge of the wire, the selection of the wood, the finish of the castings – connections, the connections, the connections. It will, in the end, be these details that provide service to the customer and give the product its life.” Featured in the Festival International du Film de Montreal, 1961.

A historical overview of Oslo’s main street, Karl Johan. // Oslofilm was a series of public information films about life in and around Oslo, produced between 1940 and 1980. Funded by the state, the films offer valuable insight into postwar Norwegian society. A wide range of Norwegian filmmakers contributed to the productions, resulting in a rich variety of styles and expressions. Several of the films also possess notable cinematic qualities, standing out as more than just informational material. The Oslofilms represent a unique and important chapter in Norwegian film history.

His lifestyle and his demanding wife swallow up a lot of money, so he takes on any part-time work. After a gross dereliction of duty, he is transferred to Bothenow. He meets Eva again, whom he knows from his student days and who now works here as a nurse. The two hit it off and Dr. Brenner slowly begins to change his life. In doing so, he increasingly comes into conflict with his wife. Their different views on life eventually lead to a separation.
