It all starts when two men arrive at the asylum. Mr. Houdek, who goes to see little Honzik Slavata, the illegitimate child of his colleague, whom he wants to adopt, and young Standa Hurych, who takes up a position as a driver. The pretty nurse Magda mistakes Standa for his father and is angered by his reaction. However, when Mrs. Houdková insists that the adoption will not take place until the child's true father is known, Standa offers to help Magda track down the father. He immediately sets about the difficult task.

On one of his trips, Wahid, a forty-year-old journalist, meets Sawsan, a young flight attendant. Admiration grows between them, and love grows, but the age difference between them is an obstacle, as she fears repeating the experience of her mother, who married her father, who was twenty years older than her, and then he died. Sawsan falls ill and is admitted to a hospital, and Wahid goes to visit her. The mother is surprised that he is her lover, whom she loved when she was young, and was unable to marry him.

1961 Japanese movie

A three-part feature film by Georgian director Lana Ghoghoberidze, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Soviet Union. The film is based on Leo Qiacheli's short story "Princess Maya" and Archil Sulakauri's novels "Doves" and "Fresco". These three stories are separated by a 20-20 year interval (1921, 1941, 1961).

He is married to a beautiful wife, but he is unable to bear the thought of others suffering, and leaves the palace in search of an answer. While sitting beneath a tree, he achieves enlightenment. Planned as a nine-reel life of Buddha, but exhibited in Cannes as ‘Part One’ with only 6 reels completed, this late work by Noburô Ôfuji was not completed until after his death. It was only in 1961 that it was finally exhibited as a full 72-minute film (comprising 10 reels).
