Although Carlos accepts, the villagers begin to gossip around the new life at the hacienda, with prejudices about Luisa and Carlos living alone there. However, in time Luisa starts to have feelings about Carlos, and he seems to correspond, but the arrival of an aristocratic woman, Margarita (Amparo Morillo), catches the attention of Carlos.
