This 1934 short subject was Mack Sennett's final directorial effort for Educational Pictures, and comedienne Joan Davis' film debut. It features Buster Keaton's Mother and Sister, Myra and Louise, respectively. A very young Roy Rogers (billed as Leonard Slye) is featured as a member of the Sons of the Pioneers, and sings a few songs during the course of the movie.

A show troupe is engaged by Judge Culliman, who is running for Governor, to enhance his political campaign. When the inebriated Judge has to be replaced in doing his campaign speech by the troupe crooner, Eric Land, his political backers decide that they want him to run for Governor in the Judge's place. Romance, music, political corruption and the election results follow.

In this motion picture short meant to advertise Philips radios, George Pal gives full rein to his sensibilities. As we see orchestras, bands and singers animated from Britain to the far steppes of Russia, we get a very silly view of how music is produced.
