The film shows the locals walking through the village in "Volendammer klederdracht" traditional dress and posing for the camera. Halfway through the film, several people dressed in modern clothing also pose amidst the Volendammers. The images suggest that this is an amateur film shot during a visit. At the end of the film, three Volendammers sail away along a canal on a small boat.

Although Marinetti wrote the Manifesto of Futurist Cinema, Velocità is seen by some as the only futuristic film in its own right. Beside a dense intertextual network and a mechanic dance of the screen titles and objects dancing to stop-motion beats, the movie features a unique showcase of air painting on film and a few swinging frames from the streets of Turin.

And two souls whose hearts beat for one another, swore in the intoxicating perfume of a burning kiss, to adore each other for all their lives. However, the lover is troubled by the experiences of a scientist and by the possibilities of success and personal recognition that this work can bring him. Moved by ambition, he prefers to leave his partner. Oh men, if in fame and gold you believe you will find happiness, you have taken the wrong path! Serve! Do good! And when the hour of repentance struck, the man felt invaded by an ineffable peace, and tranquility and sweet feeling enveloped his soul, guiding it toward God.

The preparations and evacuation of the island of St. Kilda which lies 50 miles off the Western Isles. Dated 27th August 1930. Filmed by John P. Ritchie, amateur cine enthusiast and ornithologist, during egg-collecting expedition to St. Kilda. This is unique footage of the preparations for evacuation, the existence of which was kept secret until 1979. At the time of the evacuation, Scottish Office regulations prohibited any photos or newsreel recordings of the event. The motor boat seen towing rowing boat and being hoisted on board "Dunara Castle" was collected at Tarbert, Harris, on the outward voyage, to assist with the evacuation, there being no motorised boat on St. Kilda. N.B. The married women on St. Kilda all wore shawls. The film includes shots of Rachel MacDonald, whose child died for lack of medical attention, and thus contributed to the decision to evacuate St. Kilda.
