One of the roosters, improbably, lays an egg and throws it at Al Falfa. The old man climbs up the tree with a handsaw. He sits on the same branch as the roosters, and begins sawing it off. The roosters jump from the branch into a hole in the tree. Al Falfa doesn't realize what he's doing until he saws the branch clean through. Cartoon magic is on his side: the tree falls, but the branch stays in place. Later, a delivery man drops off a large package. Al Falfa is surprised to see that it's a robot. The robot performs a dance, and Al Falfa feels compelled to mimic him. The robot kicks Farmer Al Falfa in the behind. Al Falfa does the same to the robot, which causes it to grow so tall it reaches outer space.

A fire inspector discovers that his father, an industrialist, is secretly producing nitroglycerin at his warehouse.

Along the way, he teams up with a woman named Nora Brady, whose own brother was falsely convicted of the same murder. Spanish version of Those Who Dance (1930).

The film begins with Milton riding his horse comically around the West until he hears a wanted criminal roaming the West. Upon hearing this, Milton's mouse agrees to comically change to be the width of a twig, as a way of disguise. The criminal, who remains nameless throughout the entire short film, rides in front of a tree; and sees a Wanted sign with himself on it.

A student nun falls in love with a Mexican singer starring in a cafe next door to her convent. Spanish version of MGM's Call of the Flesh.

František Procházka was retired early because his soldiers sang a forbidden song about a c. and k. field marshal. Since he is a soldier in body and soul and his request for reactivation is rejected, he decides to visit his nephew Rudi. Upon arrival, he finds the uniform of the secretly expected field marshal in his nephew's room and, after putting it on and walking through the corridors of the garrison in it, he has no choice but to complete the entire play to the end. With his performance, he helps his nephew to get married, convicts the wanted spy and is eventually promoted to the real marshal and called back into service.

A doctor agonises over whether to tell his son that the woman he is marrying is pregnant by another man, although this would mean breaking the hypocratic oath.

In that "cute" beginning, we see some funny sight gags with our hero serenading his girl down south in Mexico, strumming his guitar in a unique matter and then literally getting "cold feet." However, his fantasies give him the nerve to go inside and play for her where we see more tricks with his guitar and some humorous dancing by the girl, who dances like Pee Wee Herman in a few spots. This goes on and on and finally he laves and another suitor comes by, but the girl obviously doesn't like this guy....

Originally Liebe in Ring, this German part-talkie is a generally agreeable effort to transform heavyweight boxing champ Max Schmeling into a movie star. It's the old saw about an up-and-coming pugilist who ignores his loyal girlfriend in favor of a wealthy adventuress. His new romance nearly wrecks the hero's career, but with the help of his friends -- and of course, his real sweetheart -- he makes a spectacular comeback. The final scenes show Schmeling and his new bride heading for America, which was evidently Mecca so far as pre-Hitlerian German filmmakers were concerned. Max Schmeling's leading lady in Love in the Ring is Olga Tschechowa; in real life, he married the equally popular actress Anny Ondra

A story about domestic life in a typical working-class environment. Life and trials and how little situations have big consequences.

This early Terrytoon looks like a variation of a football cartoon like PIGSKIN CAPERS in which we get to see critters on their way to the stadium, then the cheerleaders, then the game. The primary distinctions seem to be that the background art indicates random classical ruins and the sight gags are a little more grotesque -- "Santa Lucia" is performed with a squeaky voice and one mouse doffs his ears and the top of his head to a female mouse.

A woman, raised in the most-strict New England atmosphere, marries a stern, God-fearing sea captain and is thrown suddenly into the romantic, colorful and licentious atmosphere of a South Sea island outpost. With her inhibitions and repressed desires what will be her reaction to the charms of the sensuous of the beautiful tropic nights and the call of love?

Young Anny returns from school to her circus family, which runs a little venue at the town fair. When Anny suddenly has to fill in for one of the artists, her piano-playing not only enthrals the audience, but also theatre agent Horbes. He casts the whole family for the Apollo theatre in Berlin, where Anny quickly raises to stardom and is offered an engagement from the US.

The Eyes of Science easily straddles the fields of avant-garde and industrial filmmaking, making both a fascinating object of form and style, as well as a highly educational, entertaining, and informative piece of film and industrial history. Originally 45 minutes.

In 1930, during what became known as the Industrial Party Trial, some members of the Soviet technical elite were tried for plotting to form a counter-revolutionary party. This documentary depicts that trial, in which a dozen men are prosecuted for crimes against the Russian Revolution. They promptly confess and are given the chance to address the court with an explanation. Full of remorse, they plead for the opportunity to pay off their debt to society by working. Then they wait for their sentence.
