Adapted from a play by Romain Coolus, whose work Dulac had covered as a theater critic at the turn of the century, this atmospheric and socially inquisitive film tells the tale of an independent, sexually liberated woman (Eve Francis) who is torn between her husband (Gabriel Gabrio) and her lover (Paul Guide). Controversial at the time of its release, Antoinette Sabrier finds Dulac using her bold sense of visual rhythm to achieve a complex portrait of a woman trapped in an unhappy marriage and a nuanced investigation into human intimacy, with her characters’ emotions expressed through then-innovative cinematic techniques such as slow motion and associative montage.

The story takes place in Corsica, where a young business woman (Jacqueline Forzane) tries to construct an electric system for her steel plant. But this project is not welcomed by everyone...

Felix the Cat paces impatiently nearby a beehive and strenuously contemplates. A swarm flies out of the hive and the bees compose an inscription "Work and Save!" Felix immediately sets off to the city and runs to the building of the Savings Bank with his passbook. He then takes a contented breath: "Good that the bees reminded me..." The commercial features a character inspired by the protagonist of the popular American cartoon, Felix the Cat. The film is an adapted and extended version of the commercial promoting money saving, entitled Felix the Cat Receives a Lesson (1927, production company Elekta Journal Prague).

Against the will of the fathers (1926) was shot based on the story of Sholom Aleichem "Blood Stream", which talks about the participation of Jews in the 1905 revolution. The first version of the film, entitled "Mabul," was banned by the Soviet government. The 5-part version of the film has survived: a version modified by the will of censorship with other names of the characters, an updated storyline, a more positive attitude and a happy ending. The finale of the final reel shows the mass scenes of the revolutionary struggle in St. Petersburg, the scene of the Jewish pogrom.

The agents convince a young, wealthy socialite named Seymour to finance a brand-new show. Her fabricated royal status takes off when Seymour's mother invites Mary to tea, catapulting her to society stardom. However, the lie threatens to unravel when Mrs. Seymour—an avid social reformer—takes Mary and Seymour to a night court, where Mary's missing sister Rose is brought in under arrest. When Mary claims her sister, the truth is exposed, leading to a series of complications and dramatic resolutions.
