The film begins with a family portrait and, through the depiction of the passage of time, shows homosexual relationships in contemporary Chinese society, which is undergoing extremely rapid and unsettling changes. As in life, we all have an indelible secret, an irrevocable regret, an unattainable dream, and a love engraved in our bones.
