Amatya and Vishnugupta seek solace in the peaceful atmosphere of a monastery. Vishnugupta sends his special messenger Shanotra to Chadragupta asking him to proceed to Magadh. Shriyank tearfully refuses to take the post of Minister in Vishnugupta council.
