Mary is traveling from Nazareth to Bethlehem because Herod the Great has decided to collect taxes from the Jews, and demands that all the people register as residents. It is a difficult journey for the pregnant Mary, but she endures the pain with a firm sense of mission that she is carrying a sacred life within her. Mary and her husband Joseph arrive at her cousin Elizabeth's house. She has a baby too, and his name is John. Mary gives birth to a baby boy in the stable.
