Before leaving his hometown, Leo Lowe makes a promise to his fiancée, Tina Leed, that once he becomes emperor, he will return to make her his empress. Years later, he successfully establishes a new dynasty and becomes the emperor of it, so he returns to the village disguised as an ordinary villager to fulfill his promise, not expecting to be forced to pay just to get through the entrance.
