Wisdom of the Gnomes is an animated series produced by Spanish company BRB Internacional about Gnomes. It was a spin-off of the series The World of David the Gnome. It was based on the books The Secret Book of Gnomes by Wil Huygen. Other sequels, both in serial and movie form, were The Great Adventure of the Gnomes, The Gnomes in the Snow and The Fantastic Adventures of the Gnomes.

Kyoudai Ken Byclosser was a serial Tokusatsu created by Shotaro Ishinomori (Ishinomori Productions) and Toei Company, in co-production with Nippon Television. The series consisted of 34 episodes, and aired in Japan starting January 10th, 1985 until August 29th of the same year.

Lazer Tag Academy is an animated television series inspired by Worlds of Wonder's Lazer Tag that was created by Ruby-Spears Productions. The series aired on NBC from September 13 to December 6, 1986. It was later shown in reruns under the new title Lazer Patrol on the Sci Fi Channel as part of Sci Fi Cartoon Quest.

The Galaxy Alliance's home planets have become overcrowded, and a fleet of explorers has been sent to search for new planets to colonize. Cassandra Peterson as Elvira hosts this Australian horror television series, produced by Queen B Productions. Originally Broadcast on Network 10 Australia Wednesdays at 11:30pm from 8 March 1989 and the following year on Mondays at 10:30. The show had a huge following, capturing 30% of the Australian viewing market, with 50% of fan mail being written by women.

Earth Star Voyager is the name of a science fiction television movie shown on the Wonderful World of Disney in 1988. The show aired as a two-part pilot, but was never picked up for a series and has not been released on DVD, although a fan base for the pilot has grown over the years.

Rubik, the Amazing Cube is a Saturday morning cartoon that aired from September 10, 1983 to September 1, 1984 in the United States, produced by Ruby-Spears Productions. The program, broadcast as part of The Pac-Man/Rubik, the Amazing Cube Hour block on ABC, featured a magic Rubik’s Cube named Rubik who could fly through the air and had other special powers. Rubik could only come alive when the colored squares on his sides had been matched up. It was the first Saturday morning cartoon show to feature Latino children as the main characters.

After his flying saucer broke, now he must stay in Karinto New Town, where shenanigans ensue!

Minister Shaalan seeks to persuade the Sultan to marry his daughter until she gives birth to the crown prince, until he meets the old witch king, who gives him and his wife an apple to eat and provide the crown prince, and the events continue.

Cybot Robotchi, known in the United States as Robby the Rascal, is a 39-episode anime television series created by Ken Ishikawa and produced by Go Nagai's Dynamic Productions and the Knack animation studio. The series aired on TV Tokyo in Japan from October 1982 to June 1983. The series featured contributions from Tetsuro Amino as a storyboard artist and Masayuki Kojima as an episode director. A feature-length English-dubbed version comprising several episodes edited together into a movie, titled Robby the Rascal, was produced by Jim Terry's Kidpix Productions and released on home video in the United States in 1985. However, the English version deleted much of the risque humor that, while not uncommon in children's animation in Japan, would be considered unacceptable by American standards, with the policewoman Sachiko being the usual target of the fan service-oriented humor. The TV series also aired in its entirety in Italy under the title Robottino, and some episodes are also available in Spanish as Robotete.

A one-episode television pilot for a proposed 1981 spin-off of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It features former series regulars Sarah Jane Smith, an investigative journalist played by Elisabeth Sladen, and K9, a robotic dog voiced by John Leeson. Both characters had been companions of the Fourth Doctor but they had not appeared together before. The single episode, A Girl's Best Friend was broadcast by BBC1 as a Christmas special on 28 December 1981 but was not taken up for a continuing series.

Three families moved in at different times, including Ling Da Ting and his pregnant mistress Lu Bi, the jeweler Wang Tian Xiang and his family, and the retired dance instructor Hua Luo Shi and his family. Although the house is haunted, the younger generations can communicate and play with the ghosts. Lu Bi went into labor, and the four ghosts competed to be reincarnated. Once, Lu Bi was saved by Zhuang Wei Qiang, who had a crush on her. Xiao also fell in love with Lu Bi, and they began a romance. Eventually, the three families faced eviction but became close friends after going through ups and downs together. The three families helped the ghosts reincarnate, and they tearfully said goodbye at a banquet.

Dragon's Lair is a short-lived television cartoon series by Ruby-Spears Productions based on the 1983 video game of the same name. Thirteen half-hour episodes were produced from 1984–1985, airing on ABC. Between the late '80s and the early '90s, the show was rerun on the USA Cartoon Express, and has also aired on Boomerang.

Knights of God was a British science fiction children's television serial, produced by TVS and first broadcast on ITV in 1987. It was written by Richard Cooper, who had previously worked in both children's and adult television drama. In 2020, Britain is ruled by the Knights of God, a fascist religious order – founded by the Prior Mordrin – that came to power during a brutal civil war that began in 2000, during which the Royal Family were supposedly all slaughtered by Brother Hugo and the civilian government collapsed, leaving the Knights free to step into the power vacuum.

The World of Yor (Italian: Il mondo di Yor) is a 1983 Italian fantasy adventure miniseries created and written by Antonio Margheriti for RAI 1. The four-part serial, based on Eugenio Juan Zappietro and Juan Zanotto's 1974 Argentine comic series Yor the Hunter (Henga el cazador), would later be edited into a feature-length film, Yor: The Hunter from the Future. Yor is an extremely blond prehistoric warrior who comes to question his origins, particularly with regard to a mysterious medallion he wears. When he learns of a desert goddess who supposedly wears the same medallion, Yor decides that he must find her and learn his true identity. Along the way, he encounters ape-men, dinosaurs, and a strange futuristic society.

Moondial is a British television serial made for children by the BBC and transmitted in 1988, with a repeat in 1990. It was written by Helen Cresswell, who also wrote the novel on which the series was based. The story deals with a young girl, Minty, staying with her aunt after her mother is injured in a car accident. Minty spends much of her time wandering around the grounds of a nearby mansion, and is drawn to a moondial that enables her to travel back in time, where she becomes involved with two children, Tom, who lives in the Victorian era, and Sarah, who seems to live in "the previous century" to that, and must save them from their own unhappy lives. Regarded as a nostalgic favourite by followers of 1980s BBC children's drama, Moondial employs extensive location filming and fantastical, dreamlike imagery. The series was produced by Paul Stone and directed by Colin Cant. Other cast members include Valerie Lush as Minty's aunt Mary, Arthur Hewlett as the elderly, mysterious Mr. World and Jacqueline Pearce in the dual role of the vicious Miss Vole and the present-day ghost hunter Miss Raven.
