Pure - Season 1

Yuka has a mild mental disability, but is blessed with an amazing artistic ability. She wins an award at an art competition after her cousin, Ryo, secretly signs her up. Yuka suddenly enters the limelight, but her mother is concerned about the interest of the press, who seem to be covering a disabled person out of mere curiosity. Ryo suggests that they should treat her as a normal person and let her participate in society. However, once the media invades her life, he finds it difficult to leave Yuka alone to fend for herself. Meanwhile, Toru, a freelance journalist, encounters Yuka and begins to do research on Yuka’s disability. Since he always tells Yuka the truth, Toru becomes an important person for her as they slowly build a rapport. As their relationship grows closer, Yuka’s pure heart begins to melt Toru’s cold and aloof nature.

Furuhata Ninzaburo

Furuhata Ninzaburō is a Japanese television series that ran periodically on Fuji Television from 1994 until its final episodes in 2006. It was written by Japanese playwright Kōki Mitani and is often referred to as the Japanese version of Columbo. On Christmas Eve, Hiro Hirono meets a girl named Miyako Miyamura as she chases a purse snatcher. Hiro later finds out that Miyako also goes to the same school as he does and they start hanging out together. This makes Hiro's childhood friend, Kei Shindō, feel left out, so she tries to compete with Miyako for Hiro's affection, creating a love triangle. Meanwhile, Renji Asō meets a girl named Chihiro Shindō at an abandoned train station. He soon learns that Chihiro suffers from a type of amnesia where her memory lasts for only 13 hours. He also discovers Chihiro's dream of writing a novel, but she has never been able to fulfill that dream due to her condition. Renji then decides to help her fulfill that dream.
