Justifications for being a bully

"Some sort of social commentary (I guess) which hopefully didn't come out as insensitive..."

Would a bully decide to invade his friend's private space just to get a hold of an expensive camera? Are his actions motivated purely by his desire to appease his ego? Apparently so.
