Kapauku 1954/55 - 1959

A document of an early encounter between native New Guineans and Western anthropologists, the film was shot, edited, and used in lectures by Prof. Leopold Pospisil, Yale Anthropology professor and Curator in the Division of Anthropology at the Peabody Museum from 1956 until his retirement in 1993 .
