Digestion of food

This film discusses the secretion of digestive juices and the digestion and absorption of food. Scenes include: peristalsis in animal esophagus, stomach, and small and large intestines; a procedure for collecting gastric juice; an experiment showing gastric juices effect on a coagulated egg; stimulation of an excised animal saliva gland and its secretion; a demonstration of how saliva works on starches; a demonstration of pancreas and liver; and an experiment showing the effect of bile on cream.
