เป็นเรื่องราวของ แคนดี้ ไวท์ เด็กสาวกำพร้าคนหนึ่งที่เติบโตมาในสถานเลี้ยงเด็กกำพร้าเล็กๆ ณ หมู่บ้านแห่งหนึ่งที่รัฐมิชิแกน สหรัฐอเมริกา เมื่ออายุได้ประมาณ 10 กว่าปี แคนดี้ได้ถูกขอไปเป็นเพื่อนคุยให้แก่คุณหนูอิไลซ่าแห่งตระกูลอาเดรย์ แคนดี้ต้องทนกับการกลั่นแกล้งสารพัด แม้จะต้องเจอความลำบากหลายๆประการแต่แคนดี้ก็ยังยิ้มได้เพราะมีเพื่อนที่คอยเป็นกำลังใจให้ทั้ง 3 คนคือ สแตร์ อาร์ชี่ และแอนโธนี่ แห่งตระกูลอันเดร รวมถึงเจ้าชายบนเนินเขาที่แคนดี้เคยเจอเพียงครั้งเดียวเมื่อสมัยเด็กๆ ซึ่งกลายเป็นกำลังใจสำคัญในการที่จะทนต่อสู้กับความลำบาก

Two kids whose families own businesses in a shopping arcade that's scheduled to shut down are thrown into a series of dimensions, each one a parody of some form of anime or video game, and try to find their way home.

The invasion of an alien race known as the Oni begins a new life for Ataru Moroboshi, a lecherous trouble-making tenth grader in the small town of Tomobiki. After unwittingly proposing to the Oni princess Lum Invader instead of his sweetheart Shinobu, Ataru becomes a conduit for aliens arriving on Earth, causing all sorts of havoc for him and his companions, not to mention his own reputation!

Romeo, a poor kid living in a Swiss village, bravely sells himself into servitude as a chimney sweep in order to save his family. On his way to Milan he meets a mysterious boy named Alfredo, and they become fast friends. Life as a chimney sweep is hard and dangerous. But together, and with the help of some new friends, Romeo and Alfredo find themselves striving for a better life.
