The report triggers a vivid daydream: he imagines the hill behind his home, once full of rice fields and green trees, now covered with grand buildings. The scene turns unsettling as the scarecrow begins to move, symbolizing the villagers’ anger and fear of environmental destruction. Nature’s voices grow tense, reflecting the community’s warning. Grandpa wakes up frightened, realizing that the “tau-tau” guardians have long protected the hill.
