A man wakes up in an alley, bleeding and with no memory of who he is. He stumbles into a coffee shop and is befriended by a charitable ex-nun who is failing in her attempts to write marketable pornography.

Emma is an attractive girl in her 20s who has been blind for 20 years. A new type of eye operation partially restores her sight, but she is having problems: sometimes she doesn't "remember" what she's seen until later. One night she is awakened by a commotion upstairs. Peering out of her door, she sees a shadowy figure descending the stairs. Convinced that her neighbour has been murdered she approaches the police, only to find that she is unsure if it was just her new eyes playing tricks on her.

Johnny Smith is a schoolteacher with his whole life ahead of him but, after leaving his fiancee's home one night, is involved in a car crash which leaves him in a coma for 5 years. When he wakes, he discovers he has an ability to see into the past, present and future life of anyone with whom he comes into physical contact.

Selma, a Czech immigrant on the verge of blindness, struggles to make ends meet for herself and her son, who has inherited the same genetic disorder and will suffer the same fate without an expensive operation. When life gets too difficult, Selma learns to cope through her love of musicals, dreaming up little numbers to the rhythmic beats of her surroundings.

A woman wakes up in the middle of the night on board a train, but she can't remember how she got there. Danger and suspense ensue.

เรื่องราวของ ลีโอนาร์ด (กาย เพียร์ซ) ชายหนุ่มความจำสั้น เขาถูกคนร้ายบุกมาข่มขืนภรรยาตัวเอง และใช้ไม้ทุบหัวทำให้เขาความจำเสื่อมและสร้างความทรงจำใหม่ ๆ ขึ้นมาไม่ได้ ภาพจำสุดท้ายของ ลีโอนาร์ด คือ ฉากที่เห็นภรรยาของตัวเองกำลังโดนโจรทำร้าย ลีโอนาร์ด จึงต้องใช้การถ่ายภาพ และรอยสักเป็นตัวเตือนความจำว่าตัวเองคือใคร และกำลังทำอะไรอยู่ โดยมีเป้าหมายสำคัญก็คือ สืบหาตัวคนร้ายที่ฆ่าภรรยาเขาให้ได้
