เรื่องราวของ 3 เพื่อนซี้ที่เปิดโรงเรียนสอนภาษาอังกฤษด้วยกันที่ปักกิ่ง และกำลังถูกฟ้องร้องข้อหาขโมยข้อสอบ TOEFL มาให้นักเรียนของตัวเองได้ทำกันก่อนสอบจริง หลังจากนั้นหนังก็จะย้อนกลับไปเล่าชีวิตของชายหนุ่มทั้งสามคน ตั้งแต่สมัยเรียนมหาวิทยาลัยด้วยกัน
