You have to pity the poor suitor who turns up to meet his beloved only to get quite a shock! He returns with a gendarme only to find "Pepé" merrily mixing his own special sort of scent in the perfumery! Talk about eye watering? Perhaps an attentive stray cat can help? Unless - of course - it manages to get itself covered in white hair dye and start to think it's a skunk too! Might (unrequited) love be in the air? It has a fun spell near the end with quite an entertaining mirror-effect scene, but otherwise this was never my favourite bouncing cartoon character and the story isn't really anything other than an excuse to coat the critter in different colours. It's all perfectly watchable, but nothing special.

A moment after a bottle of white shoe polish pours on Jerry, Tom hears on the radio that a white mouse, having swallowed an explosive, has escaped from an experimental laboratory and that slightest jar of the mouse could cause it to explode and blow up the entire city. It is then that Tom notices now-white Jerry and concludes it's the escapee.

Jerry Mouse gets tired of living the country life and decides to head to the big city. However, the experience doesn't turn out quite like Jerry had expected.
Tom, a castle soldier in 16th century France, is assigned to guard the food laid out on a banquet table. Jerry and a smaller mouse companion, two wandering "mouseketeers", make the situation miserable for Tom as they abscond with (and occasionally eat) all the food they can.

Jerry crashes a vase onto Tom's head, which gets Mammy to throw Tom out. Jerry at first revels in his freedom, but soon tires of this, and, under a flag of truce, hatches a plan with Tom.
