หลังจากเทวดาหนุ่ม “ดาเมียล” ตกหลุมรักหญิงสาวชาวโลกและตัดสินใจสละชีวิตอมตะบนสวรรค์ มาใช้วันเวลาประสามนุษย์ปุถุชนในภาคที่แล้ว ภาคนี้ถึงคราวของ “กัสเซียล” เทวดาเพื่อนรักของเขาที่เริ่มใฝ่ฝันอยากมองเห็นโลกใบนี้ผ่านสายตาของมนุษย์บ้าง ทว่าเมื่อกัสเซียลอำลาร่างเทวดาแล้วกลายมาเป็นคน สิ่งที่เขาได้พบกับกลายเป็นโลกแห่งการหลอกลวง ความโหดร้าย ความหดหู่สิ้นหวัง เพราะดูเหมือนว่า มนุษย์ในปัจจุบันได้สูญสิ้นศรัทธาในความดีงามและความเรียบง่ายไปเสียแล้ว

Based on Michel Houellebecq's controversial novel, Atomised (aka The Elementary Particles) focuses on Michael and Bruno, two very different half-brothers and their disturbed sexuality.
