Mukhtar Baysangurov is a restorer of medieval historical architectural monuments of the Alan people. The work of restorers involves daily meticulous labor and a sense of connection to the centuries-old history preserved in stone, which they literally touch with their hands, as well as interesting stories by the campfire while preparing a smoky fish soup. For these passionate individuals, restoration has long ceased to be just a profession; it has become a lifelong dedication.
