Victor and David embark on a daring challenge: to chart a direct route to Nevado Juncal for the first time via the Juncal Norte glacier, an unexplored territory where the traces of the first expeditions of 1911 and the mystery of the tragedy of Tordoya, Ericson, and Balles remain. During the journey, they face deep crevasses and unstable ice bridges that test their skills, where the ascent becomes a lesson in endurance and camaraderie on the fragile surface of the glacier. Between historical images and shots of the imposing mountain range, the short film reveals the essential function of this Andean massif as a water reservoir for the Aconcagua Valley and the Metropolitan Region. Today, the glacier is under threat.
