A young couple lives in a shared apartment with their grandmother, who constantly interferes in their lives. They can't do anything on their own, they can't even be alone in intimate moments. The son-in-law decides to "get rid" of his grandmother and diligently reads dating ads. Finally, under the pretext of buying a canary, he takes his grandmother to a gamekeeper's lodge, where a lonely gamekeeper lives, longing for company. However, the grandmother sees through the ruse. Will the couple manage to resolve the problem with their grandmother? And how will the grandmother herself react to all of this?

In her ward, a young nurse, Jenka, becomes close to the hospitalized wife of the director of the local steel company, Pšeničky, who is admired by the local women. Mrs. Pšeničková recovers, but continues to suffer from anxiety and the persistent idea that she is dying. Jenka therefore takes on the responsibility of home care and helps her overcome the crisis with her simple, human approach. Her patient becomes emotionally attached to her, and Mr. Pšenička also finds a close person in Jenka and tries to win her over. The selfless nurse penetrates deeper into their complicated relationship and, under increasing pressure from both sides, experiences her first truly bitter life experience.

A fairy tale about a lake in which there are two kingdoms. In the water lily kingdom, they love the sun and are only allowed on the lake during the day, while the lotus kingdom comes alive at night and is ruled by the moon. But what happens when the princess from the water lily kingdom and the prince from the lotus kingdom fall in love?

Night after night, Bodřík dutifully protects his master's humble farm and livestock from prowling wolves. But when his master decides it’s time to get a younger dog to guard the farm, Bodřík is sent to stay in the junkyard. The first night without Bodřík's watchful eye, one wolf sees his opportunity to strike.

The new era brings with it progress, which must inevitably penetrate even the most remote corners. It has also reached the village of Čirá. The men there have a number of modern machines that make their work in the fields easier, while their wives still toil in the household. One help is readily available - a communal laundry could replace the traditional washcloths. However, the men who rule the municipal council do not want to hear about such spending. So the wives join forces in resistance and resort to severely repressive means...

During the Slovak National Uprising, even ordinary people were determined to perform heroic deeds, even though they knew they were exposing themselves to great danger. A family is spending a hot summer evening at the cottage. The grandmother watches a TV that doesn't work on and off. Her daughter and son-in-law are preparing for a village party. The granddaughter wants to go to the pond with her boy. But her father forbids her to go out just in case. She, however, takes advantage of a TV report about a raging hurricane and tells the gullible grandmother that the storm will soon hit the area. Lucy's fondest wish is to find new parents and leave an orphanage. She befriends a man who can create doors from paint. He gives her a stuffed dog that magically comes alive when placed on the ground, and he and his wife end up adopting the little girl. After finding parents of her own, Lucy sets out through fantasy to find parents for her orphan friends. All of the people Lucy meet during her remarkable make believe wanderings end up taking children home.

For nine-year-old Saša, the end of the Second World War is an adventure in which he and young neighbour friend Mařenka compete over who will spot the first Soviet soldier. But the boy causes problems when he lets two German snipers enter a house in which many families are seeking shelter. Fortunately, the inquisitive Saša also comes to the aid of Soviet soldier Váňa, whom one of the neighbours is accusing of stealing a pearl necklace.
