After several hours of climbing the Javorinská Široka massif and endless tens of meters underground in a narrow crawl space, we found ourselves in a huge cave. We are accompanied by Igor Pap, who discovered it together with his friends in 2004. The Moon Shadow cave with its current dimensions is the largest cave in the High Tatras, but it is attacking several Slovak speleological records. Shadow Seekers is a story about Igor's intuition, motivation and determination to discover one of the most difficult to reach and most adventurous caves in Slovakia despite the obstacles. She is a probe into his caveman soul. The film contains authentic shots and situations that arose directly during the discovery of new spaces and the largest vertical shafts underground in Slovakia. The short video diary is part of the 89-minute distribution band "Carstensz", within which it complements the main films Bhutan - The Search for Happiness and Carstensz - Siedma hora. It was a spectacular crossing of the Indian Himalayas by bike through the valley of Kinnaur, Spiti, Lahaul, and the sacred lake Tso Moriri to Leh. We walked 700 kilometers over broken mountain saddles, but also well-maintained military roads in close proximity to the Chinese-guarded border of Tibet. As part of a series mapping the industrial buildings that shaped the history of Slovakia, a half-live action, half-mythical portrait of people who dedicated their lives to Okras in Čadca, Slovakia was created. The cooperative enterprise was one of the few to survive the regime change and the post-Soviet rise of competition and still supplies Christmas decorations to Slovak and foreign shops.

A documentary about the talented young guitar player and songwriter Juraj Revicky. He was a part of the generation of young people who were not prepared for the bad and the good that came to our country after the Velvet Revolution. In 1998, he was found dead of a heroin overdose in the Stoka theatre. He was 19. In spite of his short life, he left his work, which even today, after a period of time, is still extraordinary. Although he wasn’t famous, and we will never know what he could have achieved, at least, he left deep memories in the people, who knew him. He was a central character of a community of young, open-minded people and his band Pigura was their connecting point. That was Bratislava (Slovak republic) in the 90s.

Jakub Cíbik's documentary film "Biele Karpaty - Kráľovstvo strážené Vršatcom" is dedicated to the mountain range on the Slovakian-Moravian border. Its goal is to bring this beautiful but somewhat forgotten region of Slovakia closer to the public. The film is primarily focused on the phenomenon of the cultural-natural landscape, of which man has been a part for a long time. He gradually reshaped it in his own image until its present form. Thanks to the approach of our ancestors, species-rich communities of flowery meadows and pastures, fields and grazing forests were created here. However, in recent centuries, our society and with it the country has undergone many changes. With the absence of traditional farming, the colorful landscape mosaic and many rare organisms are disappearing. Therefore, the main message of this document is to point out the necessity of restoring forms of management that are close to nature, talking about mosaic mowing, extensive grazing and others.

A short film that follows a day in the life of the Kiki House of Velvet members. Scattered moments from their everyday experiences in the outside world dissolve when everyone meets again in the safety of their chosen family. Scripted scenes merged with the authentic and lived experiences of the characters show how the ballroom culture intertwines with their lives & vice versa. The ballroom culture, which originated in the US in the late 1960s out of oppression and discrimination of African American and Latinx trans women, has always served as a space for freedom of self-expression and liberation for marginalized and queer people. The culture is still very much vibrant and alive today, in New York, Paris or all around the world. All of the dance, fashion, body & performance categories stem out of issues that queer, trans & BIPOC minorities had to face in the past and sadly a lot of them are still persistent in our societies even today - especially in the context of this region.
