A film from the "Impressions" series, made using a combination of techniques. It presents the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian through documentary photographs from the era in which he lived and worked. The director shows the evolution of the visual arts at the beginning of the 20th century from Fauvism to geometric abstraction using Mondrian's paintings as an example. The artist's philosophical journey into abstraction, which for Mondrian was a confirmation of the superiority of the mind over the senses. The artist's works are woven into the turbulent history of the early 20th century, full of historical events and civilizational changes.

Mother Teresa once said, "If you know how to look, you will find Calcutta all over the world." Kamieńska found those for whom Calcutta was in Poland. The film about the Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity proved to be a turning point in her artistic career. She took up the theme of faith, which had been absent from her work until then, and which would henceforth recur in her subsequent documentaries. In Missionaries of Charity, Kamieńska observes the work and prayer of young nuns. The complementary nature of "ora et labora" in their lives is reflected in the structure of the film. We alternate between places where the sisters help people in need and Mass with Mother Teresa.

This is not a love story though it is full of love. It is not a comedy though the characters often say funny things. It is not a detective story even though the hero is trying to solve a murder. It is not a nature drama though it shows the splendid colours and customs of the countryside. It is not a musical though Lubica expresses her longing in a passionate dance. Nor is it a film about ghosts though a ghost does ask the hero for a favour. A few draughts of Strawberry Wine are enough to take us into a magical world in the true centre of Europe, where love, crime and penitence are just as much a part of life as the changing of the seasons, the migration of birds or the flowing of a mountain stream.

"Luxus" was one of the most eccentric art groups of the decline of communist Poland. Its contestation character grew out of rebellion against the all-encompassing gray. The group's uniqueness lay in the fact that, as they themselves said, "We are independent because we don't care." Even today its members give expression to their distinctiveness, growing out of the spirit of punk rock. In Agnieszka Mazanek's film, the former students of the Wroclaw PWSSP recall the artistic and social excesses of years ago, but also show the activities of "Luxus" against the backdrop of social and economic changes. Even today their critical and still equally witty view of the world touches on the paradoxes of modern times.

The school etude Holiday opens with "dirty" shots of the TV screen, from which propaganda about the celebration of St. The frame returns as a chorus and, together with shots of fireworks, divides the story of the first St. Barbara's Day celebration in Bełchatów into sequences. The film has no commentary, none of the characters - the miners, their relatives or the mine management - speaks directly to the camera (except for the shots stylized on the materials of the TV Journal, in which the characters praise the organization and working conditions in the mine). We hear snippets of conversations, the buzz of St. Barbara's Day fun, music. The author's interpretation of reality results from the selection of the subjects of the shots and their specific juxtapositions.
