Over the past 25 years, he has preserved more than 200,000 correspondences from troops, veterans and their families, dating from the American Revolution to present day Ukraine. In Behind the Lines, we accompany Carroll on his continuing quest; one of fact finding but also tremendously emotional. This is captured evocatively when letters written by soldiers, some of whom having lost their lives only a day after having written them, are read by various actors such as Laura Dern and Gary Cole. Damian, a 28-year-old armed bank robber serving a ten-year sentence, is classified as ‘dangerous’ and placed in a separate wing for increased protection. For two weeks, a camera follows Damian, revealing his struggle to survive in isolation and cope with constant surveillance. He grapples with fear, regret, hope, and his uncertain future. A candid conversation with himself and the camera exposes his inner turmoil, doubts, and sensitivity. Damian’s tattooed hands hold a mirror, reflecting our society and ourselves.

Exhausted by corporate life, the ant decides to get married. The beetle she meets on a dating site turns out to be ideal—handsome, athletic, with a sense of humor. He has a big house and a sports car. The relationship is blossoming, but he is in no hurry to consummate it.

The author of the film presents the attitudes of actors in the General Government, primarily Warsaw artists: how they reacted to the directives of the Underground State and the resolution of the ZASP - the Secret Theater Council prohibiting its members from cooperating with open theaters.

The director manages to show not only the physical effort of the acrobats, but, above all, their emotions and their striving for perfection and struggle with their own limitations. The camera focuses especially on the partnerships of the athletes working in pairs. It shows their interdependence on the way to the best possible performance of the trained acrobatic routine, based on the precise delineation of roles and mutual trust.

He hides his beautiful face in the trunk and henceforth lives without a face. He claims that only by storing his face in the trunk of immutability can he ensure its eternal youth and immortal beauty. The neighbor demands the loan back. So Nino pawns his beautiful face in a pawnshop. He receives a sum less than he borrowed. He cannot repay the debt and is thrown in jail for many years. The owner of the pawnshop, not having lived to see Nino's return, takes his beautiful face out of his trunk and gives it to the children to play with as a ball. Only the imprisoned Nino thinks he has the most beautiful face in the world.
