The entire operation has been poorly prepared. The transformer does not fit under one of the viaducts. The workers begin digging up the road surface. The film was created from almost 50 hours of long video footage of rehearsals for Tadeusz Kantor and Cricot 2 Theater’s spectacle "Dzis sa moje urodziny" (Today is my birthday). The rehearsals were recorded between October 13, 1989, and December 7, 1990.
The film presents eight different stories about love - each seen from a different point of view. Starting with the biological approach, where love is understood as a result of a chemical reaction, through the love that parents give to their children, siblings to each other, to the sympathy of two people - first infatuation, and with time a mature and stable bond. The picture does not idealize love, however. It also touches on the problems of betrayal and loneliness in the modern world.
In May 1949, in Wilanów, they ordered her to get on a tractor – it was American, because we didn't have our own at the time. She started driving, got distracted, and crashed into a wall. This event was later depicted in the TV series Dom. The difference was that in the film, it was Ewa – Joanna Pacuła – sitting on the seat. In reality, the photos were taken of Magdalena Figur, and she was the heroic tractor driver from the poster, although at the time she did not know that this machine would become the most important thing in her life. She had been interested in motor vehicles since childhood, always watching her father's hands when he was doing something. In February 1949, she eagerly took advantage of the opportunity to complete a course for tractor drivers.

To this end Cękalski roped in Olin Downes, a popular radio presenter and music critic, who overdubbed the beginning with a preface.
