The film is based on the novel by the Spanish writer Antonio Florido, yet another intersection between literature and cinematic poetry.

Meanwhile, the nakaq roams the area killing people, and an abusive landowner also wanders about whipping the farmhands he finds, accusing them of being idle; until the nakaq and the landowner meet and fight. In the middle of the fight, a farmhand appears, who initially helps the landowner, but then, after being insulted by the landowner, kills him.
