In January of 2025, Sondre Lerche and his 52-piece ensemble performed a truly extraordinary show at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet. The career-spanning concert was divided into two chronological acts and was performed to two sold-out audiences, in what became a dizzying musical and visual marathon both on stage and behind the scenes. For the many fans around the world who couldn’t get a seat at the Opera House in January—and for all who were there and wish to relive the magic—Sondre Lerche and ONZONZ now present Stop Time, a full-length concert film that captures the feeling of being there.

Follow Sondre Justad's journey from his childhood room in Henningsvær to becoming one of Norway's biggest pop artists. He started filming himself as a child, and through private notes and recordings, concerts, and festivals, we gain a unique insight into Sondre's inner and outer journey.

As a child, Frøydis experienced violence and neglect. When she grew older, she made the difficult decision to cut off all contact with her parents. The Final Chapter chronicles Frøydis’s experience after she learns that her father, to whom she has not spoken in years, is dying. Deeply conflicted at the prospect of reconnecting with him, she explores her feelings with her oldest friend and her partner. In these candid exchanges, she describes the sanctuary she found in staying with her friend’s family when she was young, how much the safety and connection meant to her. The warmth of these exchanges starkly contrasts with her fears about revisiting a relationship that is both painful and central to her life. In Uzbekistan, the government has started its own war on terror. A war that – like so many others – is waged for political reasons, which rarely have anything to do with reality. As a result, thousands of Muslims are imprisoned on false charges of conspiring to commit terrorist crimes. One of them is the human rights activist Dilya's brother Iskandar, who has been imprisoned in the notorious Jaslyk prison in a barren desert since 2002 – an inhumane place of which there are no images. Today, she lives in exile in Sweden because of the threats and harassment, but Dilya continues to fight the case of her brother and other prisoners with the help of Amnesty International.
