Jean-Pierre Bauwens Junior is a 23-year-old youth world champion in the lightweight category of boxing, with a very special family. He is the oldest of seven siblings, four of whom suffer from autism. Junior doesn't just fight for pride or glory; he is fighting for a better future for his poor family. By boxing his way to the top, he wants to buy them a bigger house. But then tragedy strikes: Junior's autistic brother kills his father by accident. This film shows the tough clash between a loving family and the cold reality.

After Bernd (Cas Enklaar) picks up his daughter Walyne (Tara Fallaux) who lives with her mother, he takes her off for a supposed day of fun together. His idea of fun is to get his hands on as much free alcohol as he can, and as a result of his carelessness he and his daughter are constantly separated. Each time they reunite, he finds a new group of people for a few more drinks, and another round starts -- as a consequence, there is no build-up to the climax at the end.

„Rare birds in these lands“ explores the rapprochement of the art and the business world in the Netherlands. On October the 21. 2012, four artists, three managers and a curator were invited to participate in a risk analysis workshop. The aim was to analyze the risks that an artist’s intervention in a company could represent for both partners. The voice-over of the video work is a direct transcription of statements gathered at this occasion, while the footage has been shot on location before and after the workshop.

Linda, a young woman from Budapest, moves to Amsterdam for her studies. Through the lens of two towering cranes visible from her apartment, she chronicles her adaptation to a new city, the evolution of her identity as a filmmaker, and her growing sense of belonging. Over the course of a year, the cranes become symbols of both stability and transformation, while also reminding her of the complexities of having two countries to call home simultaneously. As Linda's studies conclude and she faces the prospect of returning to Hungary, the cranes echo the closing of this chapter in an increasingly symbolic manner.

Fifty years later, it is the oldest cultural sanctuary in the Netherlands; a refuge for artists, dreamers and freethinkers, like an oasis of wonder wedged between the port and industry. When they want to celebrate their 50th anniversary, the Amsterdam energy transition hangs over the village like a black shadow; the nearby oil tanks are going to be used for storage of green hydrogen, which puts Ruigoord in the danger zone. Will the cosmic leak - to which the people of Ruigoord attribute the magic of the village - provide relief? Complicated issues that all come up in the run-up to the celebration of the anniversary.

We also see the newspaper being delivered via automobile and via paperboy. (There are also images of Haarlem shot from the Grote Kerk).
