"Retro Boom" is a documentary film shot in the period from 2013 to 2019, before COVID-19 pandemic. Filming takes place in the clubs: Vintage industrial Bar, Route 66, Pepermint, KSET, Johann Franck (all in Zagreb) and festivals in Medulin (Tear it up) , Zagreb (Zagreb Vintage Festival), Sveti Martin na Muri (Trash'n'burn). It is a film that brings a cross-section of an interesting retro scene that has existed in Croatia for years. In the last ten years, the vintage (retro) scene has expanded greatly among the young and among the middle generation, it can almost be said that it has become fashionable, but by no means mainstream. The film follows original rockabilly and rock'n'roll bands, fashion, clothes, pin-up girls, barbers, old furniture, old items, motorbikes and a lot more – all of it gathered through interviews and events of the past years.

The film centres on Nikica Jukić, a former Croatian veteran who went to war when he was seventeen and received his pension when he was twenty-two. He, his unwed partner Svjetlana, who is of Serbian nationality, and the other characters in the film recount their daily life. They speak about love, hatred, co-existence, as well as current topics such as the European Union border and the arrival of immigrants from the East.

Former Yarn and Thread Factory Dalmatinka Sinj was one of the most successful textile companies in Yugoslavia. Since its establishment in 1951 to the beginning of the 90's it was the basis of economic life in the town of Sinj, Croatia. It also had a key role in the emancipation of women who made 80% of its workforce. Recorded in 2017 during the end of the bankruptcy proceedings and in 2018, when the factory was sold to a company that intends to change its function to a business center and venue for wedding receptions, the film represents an epitaph for the factory and its workers. Movements of cotton and thread in the ruins of the famous factory, the remnants of machines and empty halls are interwoven with scenes from the experimental film Threads, filmed in the golden days of Dalmatinka.
