The Ta'ang or Palaung people, an ethnic minority living in the mountainous area between Myanmar's Kokang region and China's Yunnan province, have historically suffered many forced migrations due to war. When their survival is threatened again in 2015, thousands of them flee across the border. Filmmaker Wang Bing accompanies them and becomes a privileged witness to a human story that is both a modern reportage and a mythical epic.

After getting into a brawl in a Discotech in Dominica, three strangers; a Japanese tourist (Yasuaki Kurata), a Chinese restaurant worker (Tony Poon) and an American (!) painter (Tadashi Yamashita) find themselves thrown in jail together and left to rot there. Just when things seem their grimmest, the three are released, their bonds posted by an ex Army General. His intention is to put their supreme fighting skills to use against his family's black sheep, a powerful mafioso who employs top fighters from all over the world as protection.

A struggling teacher is bullied by kung fu students, then dumped by his own students. Meanwhile, an odd man in a coolie hat comes to town, pretending to be a trade delegate for tea and salt. But he's really the murderous Ah Yen, who ten years ago wiped out many residents of Red Clay Village, and his favourite trick is to play the flute whilst kung fu fighting. Through a process which is not made very clear, the struggling teacher gains fu skills which include strokes based on writing. Finally, he is the only one left standing to fight the villain.

Two female graduate students from Hong Kong are kidnapped and tortured after stumbling upon an illegal mining operation in Indonesia. This was filmed at the same time as The Stone Age Warriors (1991) and features much of the same cast (both HK and Indonesian actors), though has a different plot.

An unfinished Shaw Brothers production initially to be the directorial debut of Chiu Kang Chien, but was then shelved for a year before being taken over by Pao Hsueh-Li. However, the film appears never to have been finished and hence remains unreleased.

On 6th March 2011, 113 protesters in Hong Kong were arrested for "Unlawful Assembly" after they stormed the traffic lanes of Central during a demonstration against the budget proposal. Protesters were placed in the canteen of the police station for questioning in groups due to inadequate rooms. Three protesters and three police officers, six people with different political views sitting around the table. The copy machine is out of order; it's going to be a long night. So they started chatting.

When a family is bankrupted by a counterfeiter named Gold Fist, the daughter (played by Connie Chan) vows to get revenge. As she tracks down the villains, she comes across a drifter who is escorting a young man to his father, who is being kept in captivity by a gang of thieves. When it is discovered that the captive father and Gold Fist are the same person, loyalty and friendship are put to the test.

The premise of the film is that a meteor has been projected to destroy Hong Kong after 33 years (i.e., in 2047). The storyline details the subsequent reaction of local residents and the transformation Hong Kong undergoes leading up to the date of destruction.

Knowing that Bo has huge debts, Wah intends to leave him after getting the bracelet. Wah exposes her gluttonous self in her pursuit of the treasure. Bo learns his lesson and returns to his wife.
