Sweden and Denmark are as much renowned for their Viking warriors as they for the Midnight Sun and, long, cold, dark winters. From the dregs of Viking feasts, to the finest restaurants in Copenhagen, these 2 countries have evolved a totally unique cuisine. In this exciting documentary with roving chef Merrilees Parker, she travels to Scandinavia to find out if there's more on the menu than smorgasbord and smelly fish. In Sweden she enjoys the Midsummer festival, tries some aquavit and samples some sausages. Across the border she tries Danish pastry, tours the Carlsberg factory and watches herring being fermented and smoked.

This recording is a compilation of a show recorded at Bremen Theater. There were many considerations behind it ending up as a compilation. In the mid 80's DR-TV visited the fishing village of Agger in Thy. By the western coast of Jutland a small clique of 6-7 youngsters displayed an eye-catching rebellion with the small christian Inner Mission village. They listened to heavy metal, wore back patches and dreamed of a future outside the village. But what happened to the clique? The TV-news journalist Anders Agger has returned to find the clique again - 14 years later.

Or pure imagination?

We have known him until now as the brilliant author and theatre director, through his plays themselves; we also know him as the cultural flagship of the GDR along with his world-famous Berliner Ensemble.

In 2003, the Danish artist Nikolaj Bendix Skyum Larsen was in Sharja, U.A.E. and was instantly fascinated by the country's firm belief in progress. Two years later he is back to try to find out if there is anything else to Dubai and Sharja than endless rows of shopping malls, skyscrapers, an exploited workforce and non-existent history.

“Én Time På Huset” is a stand-up show by and with Martin Nørgaard. It was recorded at Huset i Magstræde during Zulu Comedy Festival 2013, in front of 65 people on a small intimate stage. The show - you could also call it a special - is a hodgepodge of the best material not released anywhere else, including a club tour set from 2012. So it's not a big, expensive production from a 20-year-old comedian, but a humble little show from a comedian just starting out.

Vincent, a young, homeless drug addict, stumbles through a wet and dark street in a very awkward state. He walks inside an abandoned house to sleep for the night, as thunder rumbles and the skies promise a storm. Inside, everything is silent, and he throws himself on an old chair, falling asleep instantly. It is when he wakes up that madness falls on him. The house is not all it seems, and Vincent is forced to relive his past, a past he has tried desperately to suppress and deny with drugs and denial for most of his life.

Mr Basse – a cheerful, if somewhat lazy fellow – reluctantly shows up at the employment agency. It soon transpires that he is no good at selling newspapers. Dejected, he is on his way home when he happens to pass by a construction site just as the bricklayers are going on strike. Basse immediately eyes an opportunity to make a bit of money: ignoring the protests of the workmen, he has no problem with becoming a blackleg. But at the construction site, too, not everything goes according to the plan for the unfortunate Mr. Basse. (stumfilm.dk)

Anders Morgenthaler's two puppet friends Carsten and Gitte present a compilation of six short animation and puppet films, directed by Karla Nielsen, Rikke Hallund, Sabine Ravn, Mette Skov, Esben Toft Jacobsen and Anders Morgenthaler.

Danish artist, filmmaker and reality hacker Jakob Boeskov brings us a docu-fiction based loosely on the events of his life and his newest work. Overwhelmed by war-time horrors of the last decade, Boeskov creates a new identity for himself as the highly polished and well educated CEO of a fictitious weapons company, Empire North. He conceives of a weapon called the ID Sniper Rifle that shoots an undetectable GPS chip into the body of targets so police or government agencies can track them later. Boeskov then infiltrates a high-tech weapons trade show pretending to seek investors for his product. Upon his return to Europe, he finds his inbox flooded with requests to invest as overnight his bogus rifle becomes a highly coveted weapon. Boeskov’s latest piece is a horrifying glimpse into the world of arms dealing and the unethical race to create the next weapon of control.
