The film is adapted from the large-scale martial arts online game "Jian Wang 3", with the main line of martial arts love and hatred, telling the story of Ye Wei's realization of the sword and becoming a generation of swordsmen. During tournament at the Smoky Rain Tower (Yanyulou), Ye Wei, the third son of the Hidden Sword, meets Liu Xi, the eldest daughter of the Northlands' Bastard Sword Villa, and Liu Fuyun, the second son. In an accident, Ye Wei was wounded by his own sword formation and lost all his martial arts skills due to a broken meridian. The two of them live in seclusion, hiding from their families, and are engaged for life.

The movie is about a group of ‘floaters’ in Beijing ?people who live and work in Beijing but are not native residents. It is rare for a Beijing floater to have a fixed home, as they move from place to place according to their job requirements. Many Beijing floaters do not feel a sense of belonging. The movie tells the story of Yu Xiaobao, a floater who is trying to hide the reality of his struggling life from his daughter who still lives in their hometown. As a result, he tells her that he has become a film director. When his daughter suddenly decides to visit him, he enlists the help of his other floater friends to put on a show so that she does not find out the truth.

The incompetent regional manager of the club, Li Gar-Cheng (Sam Hsiung), is used by his henchman Tian Hua to launder money from the company. On the other hand, suspended detective Xu Hao (Liao Wang) accidentally learns that only Li Jiaxing can get evidence of Tianhua's crimes, so He then follows the runaway Li Ka Shing and smuggles him along in search of evidence. Along the way, Li and Xu travel together, with the assassin chasing after them, in a series of embarrassing situations.

Directed by the young director Shi Bingquan, starring actors Juánzi, and Tang Yan, the film mainly tells the story of several junior high school students in the new era, focusing on their youth, aspirations, and pursuit of dreams.
