In a world where people struggle daily for survival, caught between nature and mystical secrets, two young girls defy an ancient, brutal ritual of their village community to save the life of an innocent child. But where can they flee in a world that knows no mercy and where not only humans pose a threat? A long journey through the forest and scree, through doubt, fear, and hope, begins.

A feature-length experimental documentary that captures traces of queer existence and intimate arrangements lived by non-privileged queers who navigate their experiences of migration in the city of Vienna. The film unfolds narratives of five queer migrants from contexts outside of the Global North which have been marked by gender violence, homophobia, economic instability, and social misbalance. Beyond narratives of damage, marginality is lived through and treated in the film as a space for emancipation and resistance – full of humor and joy, dignity and erotic, emancipation and struggle.

The setting of the film was simple and straightforward: the now 77-year-old Friedl vom Gröller asks a (homosexual) escort to do a nude film session, has the man’s fine rib underpants pulled down by her younger accomplice, filmmaker Josephine Ahnelt – who, like a puppeteer, remains hidden behind a wooden wall – and exposes his member. Marko Feingold used to say: “nothing can hurt those who already died once”. He himself had died several times over, as a survivor of four concentration camps: Auschwitz, Neuengamme, Dachau, and Buchenwald. From the moment of his liberation to the day he passed away last September, aged 106, he dedicated his life to helping tens of thousands of survivors on their arduous journeys to Palestine, and later channeled his efforts into Holocaust remembrance.

"We Will Live Forever" is the search for traces of the destroyed Jewish culture of Wilna. While the gentile Viennese band "gojim" looks for the musical traces of this extinguished culture, we get a very personal view of the era through the eyes of three witnesses of this time. On behalf of the many who can no longer speak, they tell stories about childhood, youth and resistance in and around the ghetto of Wilna.

The year is 1945. The final battle for Vienna has begun. Hitler declares the capital of the "Ostmark", as Austria was called then, a stand-off of the Third Reich against the Red Army; a last attempt to turn the tables yet. A group of Austrian resistance fighters recognize the impossibility and enable the Russians to occupy the city - this action was known as the "Radetzky Operation" - and with it Vienna was saved from complete destruction by the Allies. The operation was headed by Carl Szokoll.

Rewind is based on a piece of music: an electronic track entitled Rückenwind is provided as the source material, a composition by Shabotinski in which a deep frequency melodic fragment is swirled around by a delicate track of sounds. It clicks, pounds, whooshes, hums, and crackles around the quietly resounding basic theme of the piece. The abstract visual level emphasises the soundtrack, suggesting a digital score, and is vaguely reminiscent of music applications, the user-interface of composition software. At the same time the minimalist images suggest a continual forwards movement, gliding ahead on a parallel voyage through the virtual space: mobile geometry.

Structural Filmwaste. Dissolution 2 is the continuation of investigations into the fragmentation of time and images through video. It also represents an attempt to reveal the material nature of this vehicle of illusions. Depictions of a film strip (with sprocket holes, frame lines, splices, etc.) were reduced to horizontal and vertical lines with a resolution comparable to that of video. The image itself comprises two different temporal structures which are interlaced in the alternation between the half images.

vs (or "virtual spiral") deals with the dynamics between time and body in film. On digital video and non-reliable 16mm-film the processual of time and (film) body is visually transformed by spiraling camera movements. Here, contrary movements, distance and proximity or depth and surface enter into a dialogue with each other. The spiral runs like a thread through the film vs. For creating the spiraling effect the artist Lydia Nsiah invented a camera tracking machine and shot in-studio, operating the movements of the camera live while recording.

You see, it's a great gift coming in a small size and it is absolutely making sense! because it clearly reveals the spirit of the person giving it at the same time equally clearly indicating the good taste of the person receiving it. It truly is a charming and witty present with a soft-footed appearance like a young, adolescent deer. and it contains music you can even hear and see!" " In their show Magic Moments, Mnozil Brass, the seven masters of perceptive brass and song, will again move and enchant their audience. Throughout finely chiseled arrangements and charming original compositions the splendid tone colours and timbres of their priceless brass instruments are fully shown to advantage".

Viktoria Schmid’s 16mm film installation I escaped from this into the cinema, ... (2018-2026) is based on James Clerk Maxwell’s method of additive colour mixing, which led to the first colour photograph in 1861. Footage of water features from different parts of the world, shot over a period of several years, merge into a new work using a trichromatic projection technique. At each location, three shots were taken on black-and-white film, each through a filter of a different colour (Red / Green / Blue). By projecting the images with three projectors through the corresponding filters, and by adding extra screens, they manifest themselves in varying degrees of overlap to form a final colour image. The projection ‘dispositive’ makes the relationship between colour and time tangible. Panta rhei — everything flows.
