Vinicio Capossela: Liveinvolvo
Over a long weekend, a group of friends gathers together, a diverse representation of the last twenty-five years of the Italian left. Some of them haven't seen each other in a long time; the occasion is the release from prison of a former friend and comrade, accused of killing a judge in the 1980s. Roberto Ferro is on parole and wants to know which of his former comrades reported him. Among the friends, some have achieved privileged positions; others, like Nanni and Malena, have adapted to a more modest life and have retained, at least in part, the ideals of their youth. Malena, an Argentine exile who experienced torture at the hands of the military, had a love affair with Roberto and, before that, a strong bond with a disappeared comrade. Roberto's return reignites personal and political conflicts within the group.

Nella carne di un nome
An unbelievable coincidence, a conclusion based on unconfirmed news, a media and social short circuit. The effects can be devastanting, a life can be completely riuned. Even that of a success man, even that of a surgeon who is trating small bodies affected by the most terrible ills. This is a tragedy that is born from suspicion. Sergio is suspected of being a brutal seriel killer, someone who has been killing for years in a rich provincial city. A tragedy, a black hole that suddendly sucks down all our certains, one by one. This is the worst nightmare that could possibly happen to anyone of us. And infact it happens to Sergio. Voices and insinuations are more dangerous than a sentence. Suspicion spreads more quickly than the penal code and it will ruin a man's reputation. With no appeal allowed.
La Terza Verità

Until the quintet shows up I realize that the known world no longer exists and that the future promises to be a real one real nightmare. A nightmare of which ours will become full protagonists, transforming, chapter after chapter, from helpless prey to bloodthirsty hunters.

They have traveled the length and breadth, taught us to read and write, told us their fantastic stories. But who are these ancient Greeks we no longer remember? They are much closer to us than it seems. Because the desires, the anxieties, the fears have remained the same. Hercules in Polesine is a journey through time and into the sea. The entertaining journey through 5,000 years of stories, myths, legends that tell us about horned and cheating gods, listless heroes and mythomaniacs, of desperate and blustering men. And all these stories make us think about how we are now, all that way we have (not) done from the beginnings of civilization to the aftermath of the ATM queue.

"Extracted from rolls of 35mm film on which I had made exposures using the photofinish technique. That is, images intended as photography, and therefore as still images. My inclination is to animate [still images] at the very limit of technical impossibility. Scanning these rolls of figures in a state of agitation, shooting one frame at a time, I wanted to extract a film from what was not a film, where frames precisely do not exist and where the process of hand-cranking exposures was indeed equivalent to that of a movie camera, without, however, being a movie camera. Of interest to me was the collision among images dispossessed of sequence, to which the possibility of motion had been given, a motion towards a kinetic narrative, no longer a photographic one, which narrates the end of the images themselves." Paolo Gioli
Il finish delle figure
Zanzibar was the first women only bar in Italy. It opened in 1978 and since that moment, it was a target for police so that it could be considered a sort of Italian Stonewall. It was a different place from the others, a place of struggle and meeting, the emblem of the Italian feminist movement and its internal multiplicities. Zanzibar is the story of a place. It is the story of love for a place and the love story between two women imagining a place in which a different social living could be possible, in which women could spend their own time exclusively with other women, in which love stories began and new projects were set. The documentary contains the wonderful archive footage unreleased until today, shot inside the bar and interviews to the women who contributed to make of Zanzibar a concrete project.
Zanzibar. Una storia d'amore
