Second Responders

Second Responders is a short documentary exploring the emotional aftermath of the 2023 Lewiston mass shooting through the perspective of public school teachers. Often overlooked in conversations surrounding tragedy and recovery, educators were forced to become emotional anchors for grieving students while navigating their own fear, trauma, and uncertainty. Through intimate interviews and observational storytelling, the film examines the invisible burden teachers carry in the wake of violence and the quiet resilience required to return to the classroom after a community is forever changed.

Exile. Leaving Gaza

Mona Nofal is 36 years old. She worked at the Islamic University of Gaza until the war that followed the October 7, 2023 attack. After that, her life was turned upside down. She left her home in Khan Yunis, completely destroyed by Israeli bombings, and for months she wandered with her family from the south to the north of the Gaza Strip. In April 2024, she found shelter in Alexandria, Egypt. In exile, Mona is accompanied by guilt for being alive and the longing of not knowing if she will ever be able to return to her homeland. Being with her, her family, and the Mediterranean Sea that overlooks the city was a formative experience.

Almost Funny, Season 3

Almost Funny: Season 3 is a comedy anthology filmed in VRChat, hosted by BardicRJ, with musical performances by WHSPRS. Each entry is a standalone short film spanning absurdist fiction, dark satire, and genre parody - connected by musical interludes and an ongoing narrative thread. The season follows a misdelivered package that draws in a hitman, a mobster who can't get anyone to disrespect him correctly, a magic academy thrown into chaos by a new student, and a direct-to-video psychic rivalry stretched across multiple sequels. A noir detective works nights and narrates over a deal gone wrong, while a volatile detective's interrogation methods prove difficult to justify. Running between the one-offs is "The Plot" - a recurring storyline that builds across the season toward questions of memory, identity, and whether its characters are who they believe themselves to be.

KILLJOY

By day, William keeps his world neat and predictable — a quiet teacher, polite, and the illusion of control. But beneath that order lurks Trev, the violent persona that acts out everything William represses. When Killjoy, the voice of his guilt, begins calling — urging him to confess and stop the bloodshed — William’s fragile balance begins to collapse. Haunted by Pam, the woman whose twisted influence shaped his desires, William finds himself cornered between two voices: one begging for redemption, the other demanding release. As FBI Agent Harris investigates the killings linked to him, her interrogation blurs the line between his near confession and breakdown. In the end, William must choose which voice to silence — his guilt, his rage, or himself.
