The season follows a misdelivered package that draws in a hitman, a mobster who can't get anyone to disrespect him correctly, a magic academy thrown into chaos by a new student, and a direct-to-video psychic rivalry stretched across multiple sequels. A noir detective works nights and narrates over a deal gone wrong, while a volatile detective's interrogation methods prove difficult to justify. Running between the one-offs is "The Plot" - a recurring storyline that builds across the season toward questions of memory, identity, and whether its characters are who they believe themselves to be.
