The film speaks about an amazing life of Vitaly Melnikov, a master of the Russian cinema. He was born on the banks of the Amur River, and spent his childhood and youth on the banks of the Irtysh River. He left Khanty-Mansiysk to enter VGIK. He devoted the whole life to film art.
